BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES This position is located at the Navy Gateway Inns & Suites operations at NAF El Centro. The purpose of this position is to oversee daily housekeeping and custodial operations for the lodging program. The Housekeeping Lead supervises the work activities of housekeepers and custodial to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive rooms are ready to be occupy. Conduct daily inspections of rooms, housekeeping carts, common areas, laundry facilities, and maintains written documentation of these inspections. The incumbent is responsible for the security of all items in the storeroom and/or assigned storages areas. Ensure equipment is properly maintained, stored, and account for.  Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Requires one year of work experience that demonstrates knowledge of basic principles, concepts, standards, regulations and administration related to housekeeping and/or custodial operations
  • Knowledge of the lodging organization, administration, policies/procedures, and practices in conducting day-to-day operations
  • Must possess basic math and reading skills
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing in English
  • Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background Investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
